Welcome. This is a short meditation for calm, from KPC Healing. Find a comfortable position, sitting or lying down, and let your body be supported.

If it feels right, gently close your eyes. Or simply soften your gaze, and let it rest on one spot in front of you.

Let's begin with the breath. Place one hand on your chest, and the other on your belly, just below your ribs.

Breathe in slowly through your nose, and let your belly rise into your hand. Then breathe out softly, and feel your belly gently fall.

Again. In through the nose, for a count of four. One… two… three… four.

And out, slow and long. One… two… three… four… five… six.

There's no right or wrong way to do this. Just let each breath be a little slower, and a little softer, than the one before.

Now let your breathing find its own natural rhythm. Simply notice it, coming and going, like a gentle tide.

Let's move our attention slowly through the body. Start at the top of your head. Notice any tightness in your forehead, and let it smooth out.

Let your eyes rest heavy. Unclench your jaw. Let your tongue rest softly in your mouth.

Feel your shoulders. Let them drop, just a little, away from your ears.

Let that softness flow down your arms, all the way into your hands and fingertips.

Notice your chest and belly, rising and falling. Let your back be held by whatever is beneath you.

Soften your hips. Let your legs grow heavy. Let your feet rest, completely at ease.

Now imagine you're standing at the edge of a quiet forest in the early morning. The air is cool and fresh. Soft light filters through the trees.

You begin to walk along a gentle path. The ground beneath your feet is soft with moss and fallen leaves.

Somewhere nearby, a small stream is moving over smooth stones. Listen to its sound. Steady. Unhurried. Always flowing.

Breathe in the scent of pine and fresh earth. And with every breath out, let go of anything you don't need to carry right now.

Find a place to rest beside the stream, and watch the water flow past. Thoughts may come and go, just like the water. Let them drift by.

In this quiet place, you are safe. You are cared for. You are enough, just as you are.

Rest here for a few more breaths, and let the calm settle deep inside you.

This peaceful place is always with you. You can return to it any time, with just a few slow breaths.

Now, slowly begin to come back. Take a deeper breath in… and let it out.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes. Notice the surface beneath you, and the sounds of the room around you.

When you're ready, open your eyes, and carry this calm with you into the rest of your day.

Welcome to this meditation for stress relief, from KPC Healing. Before we begin, know that it's okay to pause this at any time. Go at your own pace, and do only what feels comfortable.

Find a position where your body can rest. You might sit with your feet flat on the floor, or lie down with your arms at your sides.

Close your eyes if that feels okay. Or let your gaze rest softly on the floor in front of you.

Let's start with a few slow breaths, low and deep into the belly. Breathe in through your nose… letting your belly gently expand.

And breathe out slowly through your mouth… as if you're blowing softly on a candle flame, without putting it out.

Again. Breathing in… two… three… four.

And out… two… three… four… five… six.

Good. Now let your breath return to its own easy rhythm.

Next, we'll gently tense and release a few muscle groups. Tense only to a comfortable level, never to the point of pain. If any area is sore or injured, simply skip it and breathe.

Begin with your hands. Make two fists, and squeeze gently. Hold… two… three… four… five.

And release. Let your fingers open. Notice the difference between tension and ease.

Now your shoulders. Lift them up toward your ears. Hold… two… three… four… five.

And let them drop. Feel the weight slide off your shoulders.

Now your legs. Press your heels gently down, and point your toes up toward you. Hold… two… three… four… five.

And release. Let your legs grow heavy, and rest.

Scan your whole body, from head to toe. If any tightness is left, breathe into that place, and let it soften on the breath out.

Now let's ground ourselves in this moment, using our senses. There's no rush.

Notice five things you can see. Or if your eyes are closed, picture five things around you.

Notice four things you can feel. The floor beneath you. Your clothing. The air on your skin.

Notice three things you can hear. Maybe the music. Maybe a sound in the room, or farther away.

Notice two things you can smell. If nothing comes, simply imagine a scent you love.

And one thing you can taste, or one thing you're grateful for right now.

You are here. You are present. And in this moment, you are okay.

Now let your imagination carry you to a wide, open meadow. Tall grasses sway in a soft breeze. Wildflowers dot the field in gold, white, and violet.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your face and shoulders. Gentle and kind.

In the distance, mountains rise against a clear blue sky. Strong. Steady. Unmoved by the passing weather.

At the edge of the meadow, a clear stream winds past. Imagine placing each worry on a leaf, and setting it gently on the water.

Watch it float away, out of sight. You don't have to solve it right now. You can simply let it go for a while.

Rest in the meadow. Let the breeze move around you. Let your breath be slow and easy.

Feel the peace of God, or whatever brings you peace, surrounding you like the warm light of the sun.

This steadiness is always available to you. Whenever stress rises, you can return to a slow breath in… and a long breath out.

Now gently bring your awareness back. Take a fuller breath in, and let it go.

Roll your shoulders. Stretch in any way that feels good.

And when you're ready, open your eyes. Take this calm, steady feeling with you into the rest of your day.

Welcome to this meditation for sleep, from KPC Healing. Settle into your bed, and let yourself get completely comfortable.

Adjust your pillow. Let your blanket rest over you. There is nothing more you need to do today.

Gently close your eyes. Let the day begin to fade, and let the quiet of the night wrap around you.

Let's begin with a few slow, gentle breaths. Breathe in softly through your nose, and let your belly rise.

And breathe out slowly, a little longer than the breath in. Let your body sink a little deeper into the bed.

Breathe in… two… three… four.

And out… two… three… four… five… six.

Again. Slowly in… and slowly, softly out.

Once more. And with this breath out, let go of the day.

Now let your breath move on its own. Slow. Easy. Natural. You don't need to guide it anymore.

Let's relax the body, one part at a time. Bring your attention to your feet. Gently curl your toes… hold for a moment… and let them go.

Feel your feet growing warm and heavy, sinking into the bed.

Now your calves and knees. Let them soften. Let them be heavy.

Your thighs and hips. Let them release, completely supported.

Your belly, rising and falling with each slow breath. Let it be soft.

Your back, settling into the mattress. Each breath out, you sink a little deeper.

Your hands and arms. Let them rest, loose and heavy, at your sides.

Your shoulders. Let them melt down, away from your ears.

Your neck. Your jaw. Let your teeth part slightly, and your tongue rest.

Your eyes, heavy and still. Your forehead, smooth and soft.

Your whole body is heavy now. Warm. Safe. At rest.

Now imagine a quiet mountain valley at dusk. The last light of the evening glows softly over the peaks.

The air is cool and still. The trees stand quietly, settling in for the night.

You walk slowly along a soft path through the pines, toward a little meadow by a stream.

The grass is soft and dry. You lie down, and the earth holds you, steady and strong.

Above you, the sky grows deeper blue. One by one, stars begin to appear.

Nearby, the stream murmurs over the stones. A slow, soothing sound. On and on.

If a thought comes, let it float away on the water. Nothing needs your attention now.

You are safe here. You are loved.

Let each breath carry you deeper… and deeper… into rest.

Counting down slowly now… ten… nine… eight…

seven… six… five…

four… three…

two… one…

Drifting now… softly… gently…

Resting… peacefully…

Sleep well.
